I was trying to work out the limits for spaces i think place support 12 spaces from the last support or any excavated site can only be 6 spaces from a support depending on how you look at it but this could be off by 1 2 spaces if the material tunneled through matters granite requiring less support than a soft rock like sandstone but i don t know if thats the case in game.
