Revit Roof Plam

Select the linework tool in the view panel on the home ribbon.

Select one or more levels for which you want to create a plan view. For type select a view type from the list or click edit type to modify an existing view type or create a new view type. Creates a roof using the building footprint to define its boundaries. This tool is located in the modify tab.

9 join roofs add opening to create dormer. Add another view to your project or duplicate an existing view. Use it to extend the dormer roof to the main roof. Click on each roof edge line to change the linetype.

If you try to add a roof on the lowest level a dialog prompts you to move it to a higher level. Then follow these 2 steps. This makes the roof line visible in the plan view but the lines appear as solid lines. Select the desired linetype from the line style type selector.
