Hard water stain removal from the tub. Soak up as much as possible with paper towels. Put the 90 water in a bucket and add the acid to it. In most cases a mildly acidic cleaner combined with some scrubbing can remove these stains without etching concrete.

Wet the surface lightly and scrub some acid mix into it with a deck brush. Hard water deposits can quickly make your bathtub look nasty and unclean. Apply undiluted white vinegar to the entire mineral deposit you are attempting to remove and allow the stain to soak for approximately 20 minutes. If any fertilizers are in the water they can also stain the concrete.

Wait and let the solution fizz. Take a coarse brush and clean the stain with the solution applied on it. Put on protective rubber gloves and then combine 1 pound of trisodium phosphate with 5 gallons of warm water. If you don t want to use a cleaning solution like tsp you can try substituting white vinegar or lemon juice.

In the morning scrub the stains away. Apply a second layer of white vinegar and scrub the stain with a stiff bristled scrubbing brush vigorously for at least two minutes. Using the toilet brush swish the solution around the bowl to ensure that it covers the entire bowl including above the water line. Clean the area with water.

If the stain resembles a chalk like residue then you should remove it with an efflorescence remover. It will probably take more than 1 time to completely remove all the hard water stains on the concrete. When the activity dies down wash the area immediately with water so that the residue doesn t dry beforehand. Repeat several times and your stain may just disappear.

It s best to wear rubber gloves. You should see the acid mix fizz. Use a nylon brush to scrub it away. If this doesn t work try rubbing some dishwashing liquid into the spot with a toothbrush then rinsing off.

Often you can remove a brand new stain with only household cleaner and water. Another way to remove hard water marks is with trisodium phosphate otherwise known as tsp which is recommended for use on decorative or stamped concrete. Try pouring hot water from several feet above the stone onto the stain. It is used on colored concrete and is very effective.
