Remove Mini Blinds

First remove the valance if there is one on the blinds.

The process of removing vertical blinds is incredibly similar to that of removing venetian and mini blinds. Use a small phillips head screwdriver and unscrew all the screws from inside of the brackets. The biggest difference is that you ll want to remove the vertical slats before attempting to remove the headrail otherwise you may damage the blinds. If you are removing a mini blind from a window permanently you will want to also remove the brackets they were attached to.

Most valances are mounted with a clip that will attach at the top of the headrail. The headrail is the metal or vinyl track at the top of the blinds that fits into the mounting brackets tug the cords to the. If your blinds are very long however you may also have center support brackets in the middle. Remove center brackets first if you have them.

Once the screws have been removed the brackets will become. If you are just cleaning the blinds leave the brackets in place. Secure the slats and bottom rail into place which will make the blind easier to remove from the brackets.
